QUALITY CONTROL
QUALITY LAB ASSISTANT
Kane Brewing is currently seeking a Full-Time Quality Lab Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate and maintain various lab equipment (pH meters, density meters, digital balances, pipettes & volumetric meters).
- Communicate amongst Departments when batches are Out of Spec, identifying parameters and potential corrective actions.
- Prepare stock solutions, plating media and other laboratory reagents as needed.
- Perform daily QC tasks including but not limited to: gravities, plating, plate reading, biological identification, PCR, yeast harvest & yeast cell counts.
- Assist/ participate in sensory panels of finished and in-process goods.
- Maintain and organized sensory retain archive.
- Assist in inventory of supplies.
- Assist other Departments when requested (Packaging/ Cellar).
- Included but not limited to taking Package TPOs, cleaning in Production Facility and disposing of spent grain. - Maintain a clean, organized environment.
- The probationary period schedule will be fixed M-F, once off probation schedule can vary depending on Season.

BREWING
PRODUCTION MANAGER
We are looking for full time Production Manager to add to our growing team. The Production Manager must be proficient in all operations within the brewery and reports to our President and works closely with QC and Operations groups.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Master Production Schedule to convey all batching information for brewing, cellar and yeast management, packaging dates and splits, pilot brewing, barrel-aging and smaller one-off projects.
- Produce detailed daily task lists for all brewing, cellaring and packaging team members
- Work with President to formulate modern recipes for all beers, including core recipe adjustments, one-off batches, barrel-aged and adjuncted beers with the expectation for the development of new brands
- Review production data daily and produce weekly KPI data reports to be delivered to the President and Quality Manager
- Management and planning of Field & Oak spontaneous fermentation and saison project
- Work with President and Facilities team on planning and execution of capital expenditure projects
- Maintain training matrix for all Production and Packaging employees and plan ongoing training with Production Lead
- Scheduling of maintenance and preventative maintenance with Facilities Team
- Continue to develop a “quality first” culture and hold each production team member accountable for work product and performance.
- Maintenance of SOPs, Checklists and Plant Sanitation Schedule in Quality Manual
- Develop and maintain brewery GMPs and OSHA standards
Requirements:
- Passion for brewing and craft beer
- College degree in the applicable fields of Brewing Science, Food Science, Chemistry and Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of brewery experience in a production brewery
- Proven management of 10+ person production team with shifts consisting of 5+ team members
- Demonstrated track record of success in prior positions
- Equivalent related leadership experience in a related food or beverage industry will be considered
- In depth experience with brewing, cellaring and packaging systems
- Strong attention to detail is required

BREWER
We are looking for full time Brewer to add to our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Strict adherence to production and safety SOPs.
- Production of wort that falls into the required specifications.
- Monitoring fermentation temperature and activity.
- Maintaining proper and accurate brew house records.
- Maintaining brew house and milling cleanliness and organization
- CIP/SIP of all brewery vessels
- Wort and beer transfer
- Yeast harvest, pitching and health management
- Fermentation monitoring
- Operating the centrifuge
- Strict adherence to sanitary and record-keeping standards
- Basic facilities maintenance
- Manual cleaning of brewery equipment and parts
- Assist management in assuring all production employees are always operating within specified safety SOP’s.
- Assist in clean and sour barrel-aging program as needed
- Contribute to pilot brewing program
- Adherence to good manufacturing practices
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of proven brewing experience in a production/packaging brewery including wort creation on 10+ barrel brewing system
- A degree from a professional brewing education program is preferred
- Demonstrated track record of success in prior positions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
- Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
- Communicate efficiently with team

PACKAGING OPERATOR
We are looking for a full time Packaging Operator to add to our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with all packaging processes including kegs, bottling and canning.
- Properly clean and fill kegs.
- Ensure all beer is in the proper condition (temperature, carbonation level, etc.) prior to packaging.
- Ensure all packaging activity is done according to its SOP regarding yield, bottle and can fill-height, dissolved oxygen levels, and crowning and seaming standards and material loss.
- Assist in canning utilizing the Wild Goose canning line and bottling on the Meheen bottling line.
- Build and pack cases for cans and bottles.
- Maintain proper packaging records and logs.
- Maintain cleanliness of all packaging equipment.
- Ensure regular maintenance of packaging equipment.
- Adherence to good manufacturing practices.

HOSPITALITY
HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATE – PART TIME
Kane Brewing is currently seeking a Part-Time Hospitality Associate. Hospitality Associates pour beer in our Tasting Room and work the retail counter selling beer and merchandise to go. Required work hours are one shift each on Saturday and Sunday. Approximate hours per weekend: 10 – 16 hours.
IMPORTANT: If you already have a full or part-time position with a wholesale distributor of alcohol or a bar/restaurant and are looking for extra hours, please do not apply. We cannot hire across tiers of the three-tier alcohol distribution system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and welcome them to the Brewery.
- Adhere to strict safety and sanitization protocols
- Pour and serve beer to customers.
- Maintain a clean environment.
- Understand beer offerings and be able to answer questions as well as make recommendations.
