6.2% ABV
Afterglow was the second batch of beer brewed when we opened in 2011. Afterglow was hopped in the kettle with Simcoe and Chinook and finished in the Whirlpool with Cascade. We used a classic West-Coast yeast at a lower temperature for a clean fermentation with low ester production to let the malts and hops shine. Afterglow was dry-hopped, over two additions, with Simcoe, Chinook and Cascade, followed by a second round with Citra and more Simcoe, Cascade and Chinook Cryo. Afterglow is a full-bodied IPA that pours a vibrant rose color that replicates the color of the sky after the sun goes down.
